Kirk Douglas | $3.5 Million, Palm Springs
Kirk Douglas was an actor, director, producer, writer, and philanthropist. He starred in 1946’s The Strange Love of Martha Ivers, 1961’s Town Without Pity, and 1949’s Champion, which brought him global recognition. In 1955, Douglas established Bryna Productions, which allowed him to work alongside the likes of then-unknown-director Stanley Kubrick and Dalton Trumbo. Douglas even broke the Hollywood blacklist when he gave Trumbo a proper on-screen writing credit.
In 2020, after Douglas’ unfortunate passing, his Palm Springs home was recognized as a Class 1 historic site according to the city. The house measures around 4,000 sq. ft. and is currently valued at $3.5 million. It has four en suite bedrooms, a living area, a carport, a pool, a spa, a pool house, and a gym. It also has a tennis pavilion designed by Wexler and Michael H. Morrison.
