Jack Lord finished his studies at New York University under a football scholarship, where he graduated with a degree in Fine Arts. During his time making maritime training films, Jack became interested in acting. Eventually, he landed roles in stage plays, including The Travelling Lady and Cat on a Hot Tin Roof.
