Known by most as Jamie Foxx, Eric Marlon Bishop is an actor, comedian, and singer. Foxx is known to be quite the versatile actor, having to receive credit for portraying different roles—whether it be in a drama, a comedy, a musical, and a thriller, to mention a few.One night in 1989, Jamie Foxx gambled with a female classmate to sign up for a public performance at a comedy club in Los Angeles. When he found out that women were always called on to perform, he changed the name “Jamie foxx”. Finally, he finished his first comedy performance in his life.

In 2004, Foxx portrayed the titular character in the film Ray, for which he received a Best Actor award for his performance.  Other films that he starred in include, Miami Vice and The Kingdom, Django Unchained, Baby Driver, and Project Power. In 2019, Foxx purchased a house in California for $1.69 million. The 4,192-square-foot home stands on a 0.91-acre lot and features five bedrooms, five bathrooms, three fireplaces, and a four-car garage. Outside of the house is a pool with a waterslide, fruit trees, vegetable gardens, and a sports court.
