Stephen King | Price Unknown, Maine


When he was two years old, his father suddenly ran away from home and never came back. At the age of fourteen, he found some horror stories at home. From then on, he became infatuated with horror novels and determined to be a writer of horror novels. Stephen Edwin King is an author well-known for his books, such as The Shining, IT, Pet Sematary, and The Children of the Corn. Even back then he often wrote horror stories, which he would sell to his friends.

King finished college at the University of Maine with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English. Stephen and his wife, Tabitha King, also often donate to libraries, local fire departments, schools, and other organizations in Maine.In 2019, Stephen and his wife moved out of their home in Bangor, Maine, turning it into a non-profit for his archives and the guest house into a writer’s retreat. Fun Fact: Bangor, Maine is King’s inspiration for the town of Derry in his novel IT.
