William December “Billy Dee” Williams is an actor, voice actor, and artist born on April 6, 1937 in New York. He is most notable for portraying Lando Calrissian in the Star Wars franchise, making him the first African-American to have a significant role in the film. Williams returned to Star Wars in 2019’s The Rise of Skywalker – almost forty years after The Return of the Jedi.

In 2001, Williams was selected as one of the artists who will work on angel sculptures for the Academy’s collaboration with LA’s A Community of Angels charity project. In 2018, Williams listed his Beverly Hills home on the market for $12.995 million. The property underwent significant renovation prior. It covers 6,000 square feet and features seven bedrooms, 7.5 bathrooms, and is surrounded by a grass-and-stone courtyard.
