Valerie Kathryn Harper was an actress who started her career as a dancer on Broadway with her musical debut in 1959’s Take Me Along. In TV shows, she got a Best Supporting Actress and Best Lead Actress award from the Primetime Emmy for her acting credit in Mary Tyler Moore and Rhoda. In the film, she received two Golden Globe Award nominations for her performance in 1974’s Freebie and the Bean, and 1979’s Chapter Two.
Later on in her career, Harper returned to the stage and portrayed Tallulah Bankhead in the play Looped. The award-winning actress’ Santa Monica property was reportedly placed in the market with a $4.2 million price tag. The house was built in 1920, and has three bedrooms, two bathrooms, and the perfect atmosphere for a mountain retreat, taking up 2,131 square feet.
