Born Rosa Dolores Alverio Marcano, Rita Moreno is a Puerto Rican actress whose career has spanned seven decades. Moreno is among the few artists to have received an Oscar, an Emmy, a Grammy, and a Tony award. She has also received the highest civilian honor in America, the Presidential Medal of Freedom. To her credit, she has starred in films like 1952’s Singin’ in the Rain, 1961’s West Side Story, 1971’s Carnal Knowledge, and 1998’s Slums of Beverly Hills.
Moreno’s home in San Francisco has a garden room where all the plants are. Moreno said that she loves natural and organic things. It is decorated with masks and artworks.
