Chandra Wilson graduated from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts with a degree in drama. Her first on-screen appearance was as a guest star in The Cosby Show. She has starred in several television series such as Law & Order, Third Watch, Sex & The City, and The Sopranos. Her role as Dr. Miranda Bailey in Grey’s Anatomy was mesmerizing to watch. She earned the nickname “The Nazi” because of her stern approach to the interns, but later dropped it due to operating on a Nazi patient.

Wilson also appeared in several movies such as Mad Dog & Glory, Lone Star, as well as Frankie and Alice. She has received multiple awards too which is not surprising given her acting prowess. She went on to appear in Broadway such as in Avenue Q, On The Town, and Chicago.
