Elizabeth Banks is not just a known actor but a producer as well. Not only did she star in Pitch Perfect, but she also produced the two sequels, all while reprising her role as Gail Abernathy-McKadden, one of the collegiate commentators during the acapella competitions. Although she did not get enough screen time in the movie, she did plenty of work behind the scenes as the producer.

Banks earned a communications degree from the University of Pennsylvania. Her on-screen debut was in the indie film Surrender Dorothy. She went on to star in over 250 projects, such as Scrubs, The Hunger Games franchise, Spider-Man, Seabiscuit, and The 40-Year-Old Virgin. She also found success as a director, starting with the Pitch Perfect franchise and the Charlie’s Angels remake. She is the co-founder of Brownstone Productions, together with her husband, Max Handelman.
