Gene Hackman, now retired, was an acclaimed American actor and novelist whose career spanned over six decades. Throughout his illustrious career, he was honored with two Academy Awards, four Golden Globes, one Screen Actors Guild Award, two BAFTAs, and one Silver Bear. He received the Academy Award for Best Actor for his riveting performance in “The French Connection” and won Best Supporting Actor for “Unforgiven.”
His performances in “I Never Sang for My Father” and “Bonnie and Clyde” garnered him nominations for Best Supporting Actor, while “Mississippi Burning” earned him another nod for Best Actor. Hackman has experienced matrimony twice, with three children from his first union.
