Barbara Eden’s rise to stardom was meteoric after she became the beloved lead in “I Dream of Jeannie” from 1965 to 1970. Her journey to television dominance began with a recurring spot on “The Johnny Carson Show,” which paved the way for appearances in an array of TV shows including “I Love Lucy,” “Crossroads,” and “How to Marry a Millionaire.” Eden’s initial foray into performance was as a church choir singer, and by her teenage years, she was singing with a local band at nightclubs for $10 a night. Her talent and perseverance culminated in 1988 when she was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Eden’s accomplishments extend beyond acting; she was awarded an honorary Doctor of Laws degree by the University of West Los Angeles School of Law.
